Valentine's Day saw the release of Hayzell's Debut EP "SWEETBWOY". 6 months after its inception, Hayzell has been championed by superstar DJ's such as: Seani B (1xtra), Anna-Marie (No Signal), Spin-Milz (Reprezent), Rude DJ (Westside FM). Hayzell returns with new single "Dagga!" produced by longtime collaborator MARL. The record is set to be unleashed on Carnival Weekend!
Biography
The life of Hayzell.
British Born, Jamaican-Raised Hayzell is a singer/songwriter whose musical origins were born in the Tower blocks of East London. Growing up, countless hours were spent in the living room being exposed to a wide range of genres from Reggae and Dancehall to HipHop, UKG, Pop and more. This eclectic musical upbringing in his home, described by Hayzell as a “Boutique Record Shop”, can definitely be heard through the artists’ Dancehall/R&B fusion sound.
Over the years Hayzell has gained national radio attention, featuring on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Westside FM, Reprezent Radio and other major community radio stations. Notable career highlights include performing as part of the ILUVLIVE TOUR and DJ Target’s ‘Rappers vs Singers’ showcase live at the Maida Vale Studios. This led to positive reviews from the likes of DJ Trevor Nelson, Etta Bond & Ghetts. More recently, Hayzell was selected as one of BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Seani B’s ‘Spotlight Sessions’. Keep your eyes on Hayzell as he’s geared up to release his debut EP “Sweetbwoy”, set to drop in early 2022 in collaboration with producer MARL.
